Paper collated nails

Product Description:
Paper collated nails are strip fasteners made by bonding individual nails to paper strips with hot melt adhesive. When used with nail guns, they enable efficient nailing operations, boasting both environmental friendliness and practicality. These nails are widely suitable for multiple scenarios including construction, decoration, and woodworking.

Core Structure & Material

Structural Design

  • Composed of evenly arranged inclined nail groups, paired with two single-sided adhesive paper strips symmetrically bonded to the front and back of the nails.

  • The paper strips are placed close to the nail heads and in parallel alignment, which not only ensures connection stability but also allows smooth breakage during nail gun operation to avoid jamming.

  • Each nail consists of a top head, a middle shank, and a bottom tip. The shank design is tailored to different fixing requirements, ensuring firm anchoring after being driven in.

Material Selection

  • Core nail materials include Q235 carbon steel, 45# steel, SS304/316 stainless steel, copper, etc., balancing strength and corrosion resistance.

  • The paper strips are made of high-strength, eco-friendly paper materials combined with special hot melt adhesive, providing strong adhesion while being easily degradable.

  • A variety of surface treatment options are available: polishing, electro-galvanizing, hot-dip galvanizing, mechanical galvanizing, heat treatment, etc., to adapt to different application environments.

Key Specifications & Parameters

Basic Specifications

  • Angle specifications: 17°, 21°, 28°, 34° and other mainstream models, compatible with different types of nail guns.

  • Nail length range: 50mm - 160mm; Shank diameter range: 2.5mm - 4.6mm, meeting the fixing needs of light to heavy loads.

  • Shank types: smooth, ringed, threaded designs, etc. Ringed and threaded shanks enhance holding power and improve fixing stability.

Specification Selection Guide

  • Light-duty operations (furniture assembly, small-scale woodworking): Choose smooth or ringed shank nails with a length of 50-80mm and a diameter of 2.5-3.0mm.

  • Medium-duty operations (decoration ceiling installation, board fixing): Recommend threaded shank nails with a length of 80-120mm and a diameter of 3.0-4.0mm, combined with hot-dip galvanizing treatment.

  • Heavy-duty operations (construction projects, wooden box packaging): Select high-strength carbon steel nails with a length of 120-160mm and a diameter of 4.0-4.6mm; heat treatment process is recommended.

Core Product Advantages

Outstanding Environmental Performance

  • The paper strips are biodegradable or recyclable, reducing environmental burden compared with plastic collated nails and complying with the concept of green construction.

  • Minimal debris is generated during operation, easy to clean up, and free from plastic residue pollution.

Higher Operational Efficiency

  • The flexibility of the paper strips matches the feeding mechanism of nail guns, resulting in a nail jamming rate far below the industry average and reducing operation downtime.

  • Minimal wear and tear on nail guns, extending tool service life and lowering overall use costs.

  • The strip design allows for quick loading; when used with pneumatic, gas-powered or electric nail guns, it significantly improves efficiency in large-scale nailing operations.

Wide Application Scenarios

  • Compatible with a variety of materials including hard and soft wood, bamboo products, ordinary plastics, and earthen wall sand casting.

  • Covering multiple fields such as furniture repair, wooden box packaging, construction engineering, decoration and finishing, with both versatility and professionalism.

Core Comparison with Plastic Collated Nails

Comparison DimensionPaper Collated NailsPlastic Collated Nails
Environmental FriendlinessBiodegradable/recyclable, low pollutionNon-degradable, prone to plastic residue
Operational ExperienceLow jamming rate, minimal debrisHigh risk of jamming, plastic debris splatters easily
Tool WearMinimal wear, protects nail gunsHigh hardness, causes greater wear on nail guns
Cost AdvantageAffordable price, high cost-effectivenessHigher unit price, high long-term use cost
Moisture ResistanceRequires galvanized/stainless steel materialsBetter moisture resistance, less prone to rusting

Usage Methods & Precautions

Correct Operation Steps

  1. Select paper collated nails with corresponding angles and specifications according to the nail gun model; check that the paper strips are undamaged and the nails are neatly arranged.

  2. Open the nail gun magazine, place the paper collated nails steadily inside, ensure the paper strips fit the feeding track, and close the magazine to lock it.

  3. Aim at the fixing position, activate the nail gun, and ensure the nails are driven vertically to avoid fixing failure due to tilting.

  4. Clean up residual debris inside the nail gun in a timely manner during operation intervals to keep the feeding channel smooth.
